Places and Spaces, travel

travels past: Guam

I live in an island city where beaches are just a short drive away so I thought that what could Guam offer that Cebu doesn’t have. Other than the jaw-dropping shopping that is.

So, I was pleasantly surprised with what I saw. Guam is more than a shopper’s paradise. I could picture myself just driving around the island to destress. It offers such breathtaking views of the sea and sky as well as it gives you the chance to just stop and take a dip on one of its beaches. Of course, there are off-limit areas given that there is an active military base on the island.

Best way to share this wonderful experience is through pictures. I had to make a collage out of them since i couldn’t really decide what to highlight.

TalofofoFallsPark
Talofofo falls – place where you can just spend a quiet afternoon. A little further down is where the last Japanese hold out, Shōichi Yokoi, hid for 27 years.
just driving around guam gives you all these pretty sights.
the culture is achingly familiar.
