Banteay Srei .
The pink temple. The lady temple. However it is called, it was indeed a very pretty temple. Banteay Srei means the citadel of women. Our tuktuk driver and tour guide said it was built by women as evidenced by its height and the intricateness of the carvings in the walls of the temple. The intricate carvings though are largely made possible due to the red sandstone that is built from. While it was roughly 35km from Siem Reap, it was well worth the drive.
