Driving from Christchurch to Lake Tekapo was just gorgeous. But once we arrived in Lake Tekapo, I was thinking why I never even considered relocating here when I was younger 🙂 It would be a joy to start and end your day with such a beautiful panoramic view – a perfect way to decompress when things get rough at work and your brain cells are just dying. This should be one of the most photograph friendly places I have been to. Regardless if you are an amateur or not, you are bound to get really good shots! We stayed at the beautiful Galaxy Boutique Hotel Lake Tekapo which was a 15 minute or less walk to Lake Tekapo.
But beyond the picturesque view, the short trip was made more fun with mum and my sisters. This would have been a Dad-approved stay as well.
I wish we could have stayed longer. Maybe even do some remote work for a week.. for starters 🙂
