this city within a city is just enormous. the palace and its halls dwarfed men. it was fascinating to look into the living quarters of past emperors and their families. the finest craftsmen in all of China produced such intricate art work adorning the walls, the eaves, columns and it gave me a renewed appreciation for Chinese artwork.
