travels past: juliet in verona

IMG_1109_Fotor

when in verona, i was told that to have luck in love, you need to rub juliet’s right breast. it looks like countless of thousands of romantics have heeded that advice over the years leaving juliet with an over shiny breast.  and there’s also the numerous love notes left on the walls.

the funny thing is, juliet herself was bereft of her happy ending.

people should realize though that romeo and juliet was a work of shakesperean fiction.

it looks like things have changed since the last time i was there. there are now fines for sticking love notes onto the wall and juliet’s statue is now a replica.

if only people will appreciate without leaving a trace.
