your birthday often falls on mother’s day.
it is probably apt as you exhibit qualities of what a mother should be.
you have always preferred to be low-key in celebrating your birthday.
you never seek the spotlight for yourself, preferring to bask in the success of your children.
through all our difficult and challenging moments, you were always there for us.
never obtrusive but always ready to help and listen.
i know that if you could, you would not let us feel pain and sorrow.
that you would gladly switch places in those trying moments.
i will never forget the sacrifices you did for us.
from giving up your career to raise us, to doing odd businesses just to get us through our odd years.
i look at your hands and i see how much you have given up for us.
you have taught us to value hard work and family above all.
leanne had it all right when she coined you mother hen.
because you were always there to protect us, to guide us and to love us.
thank you for everything mom.
it would take more than a lifetime to show you how grateful we are.
we may not often say it out loud but i just hope you feel how important and loved you are.
we love you 🙂
