helping the PH

we saw and experienced disasters that had central visayas shaken and jagged. and just a week or so after,  swept by strong winds that flattened a number of cities and left thousands dead and wounded.

the tragedy though showed how compassionate people can be. we saw local cities coming together to help the earthquake and typhoon victims. we saw international aid pour in. we saw and heard stories of how people from all walks of life, from all around the world,  start fund-raising campaigns so they can contribute however they can.

after all of these though, when we go back to the daily grind, when normalcy kicks in, it is still left to the Filipinos to improve their lot.  and it has to start from within each Filipino.

the Filipino can still do a lot to help our country.  and we can learn from this simple book by alex lacson – 12 little things every filipino can do to help our country.  it is not rocket science. in fact, it is very light reading. however,  it makes you realize it is as easy as simply living it.

follow traffic rules, follow the law. always ask for a receipt. buy local, buy filipino. speak positively about us and our country. respect the public servants. throw garbage properly. support your church. pay your employees well. pay your taxes. adopt a scholar or poor child. teach our kids to love our country.

learn about it here – 12 little things every filipino can do to help our country.
