29. September. 2012.
DevCon recently got an invite to provide speakers who can share on some requested topics from USJR’s IT/CS students and we just couldn’t say no.Ā DevCon Bai!, the Cebu-based DevCon members and volunteers were just too happy to accommodate the request.
The theme of the seminar was around Industry-Based Development Practices which really is a good way to give graduating students an idea of what to expect when they join the industry.
The talks were delivered by young but competent software developers eager to share what they have learned. The speakers’ jitters were not at all evident especially with the wisecracks that were exchanged to get the students’ attention.
A number of DevCon members and volunteers also showed up for moral support and as resource speakers for the Open Forum that followed.
Hopefully, short as the talks are, the Josenians learned a thing or two and got started into learning more!
