shell shedding

       8:00 PMish , 27 September 2012.
my actionstar slings have all molted a few times in their young lives but i have never actually witnessed one live. and tonight was my lucky night.
while waiting for my dinner date who was equally busy with work, i chanced upon chuck the p. regalis lying on its back. i knew chuck was due for a molt and had a hunch that tonight was the night!
a few minutes later,  chuck was squirming as much as it can to get out of its old shell. much as i wanted to come closer, i was hesitant lest a slight movement would cause a bad molt. this is just about the clearest picture i got. i did manage to take 2 videos but they were pretty  low quality (duh!). and the pauses to rest from squirming was just too long and i would have ended consuming all my precious phone memory had i shot the whole molting process!  but just the same, it was all fun!
now i can’t wait to post chuck in all its new and glorious shell!
