the oregon caves

the oregon caves was not on our original itinerary but i am grateful that it was something that my sister and i finally decided to do. our “spelunking” was limited to a guided tour in the oregon caves monument but it was still an interesting and well spent 1.5 hours, roughly 150+ feet below ground in a chilly 7-deg temperature.
the cave was also unique in the sense that it has all 3 types of rocks – metamorphic, sedimentary and igneous. it was also interesting how people would vandalize such works of art with the hope of making their mark. and the effort to clean up sometimes ends up in near disaster all the same.
