Musings

handwriting

i used to have legible handwriting. it was not always this bad, promise 🙂
back in primary education, i remember the writing exercises, making circles and pointed arches, endlessly. then came writing the alphabets and numbers. all the while, you need to be hitting the guide lines.
the said exercises i would say paved the way for me to have (relatively) legible handwriting. as the years passed on though, i noticed the total disregard for making the letters hit the guide lines. i was becoming a miser-writer – writing in those insanely miniscule script to save paper and space. my motto in college was 1 pc of yellow paper a day. save the trees, right? 🙂
eventually working with computers did not help at all. my fingers fell in love with the keyboard, it totally forgot its love affair with the pen. but i am now trying to fix that. for 2 years now, i have been trying to religiously note down things using my planner which really is a journal in disguise. hopefully, there will come a time when checking out old journals will not make me pause and decipher what i had written some time ago.
