after picking up badminton as a sport, i have grown fascinated with China’s Lin Dan. he with the pure athleticism coupled with the ability to make smart moves and his fair share of trick shots as well. not to mention his powerful jump smashes. i just knew i had to see him play in person.
i ticked that personal goal last June 18, 2011 at the Li Ning Singapore Open 2011.
watching him play peter gade was just an added treat. it was a good decision though to watch the semi-final game instead of the finals given the walkover and lin dan getting sick. nevertheless, i still admire the man and his extraordinary skills as a badminton player 🙂
