i am proud to say i don’t have a thankless job 🙂
i earn pretty much enough to get by and have a few left for leisure and for savings.
i learn a lot with the projects and from the team i work with.
and long after the project team has moved on to work on other endeavors, i still have that pleasant experience and memories of having worked and having fun with such good people.
what is icing on the cake though would be the thank you notes i received during the most unexpected of days.
today was one of those days. i got not just one, but 2 thank you notes 🙂 one was profuse with gratitude for my pushing him into something he thought he was not confident enough to share and teach. one was a heartfelt thank you for helping him get to a new and (am sure) interesting project. and all i ever did was put in a good word or two 🙂
despite all the difficulties and challenges that await a lowly project manager like me, these are one of the moments that make it all worth it 🙂
