Musings

musical irony

i don’t know if there is such a word. am too lazy now to google it so really can’t confirm it (that means, if you want, check it out hehe).

i may have been living a rock for some time since i only realized it recently that there are a number of songs that have this uppity beat but have really sad themes or stories. take for instance “when did your heart going missing”. the beat makes you tap but it is quite a sad story. same with “how far we’ve come”. it states ” But I believe the world is burning to the ground. Oh well I guess we’re gonna find out”. and we can sing to this and bob our heads to the beat. there are probably more songs out there of this type.

i have never been one to memorize lyrics though and am only able to pick up a line or two really and just looks up the lyrics when it becomes the LSS (Last Song Syndrome) entry for the day.

i was just thinking of how our brain processes these messages. content+delivery. and how it in fact impacts the way we think if it does.

oh well. maybe l, i am just on the road too much( translated: too slow moving traffic!) and listening to radio that often. should i be switching to audio books instead? 🙂
