i have always been partial for anything feel good. why go for the negative when there is enough cynicism in the world going around?
that is why people will probably find it strange to find out i love to read fairy tales. at this day and age. and at my age. 🙂
fairy tales for me give me hope. that all’s well that ends well. even if it is not how we want it to end. i know that things happen for a purpose. and my style is just to have it reinforced by reading these books.
when i say these books, of course they go beyond the disney stories that are so ubiquitous right now.
the cynic would always say that there is still an underlying darkness in the fairy tales. but then again, it is really how you look at things right? even if you are in a brightly lit room cynics will still look for a dark spot. and that’s their call.
my call? look at the bright spot. my bright spot just happens to be in books. fairy tales included. 🙂
